Collectors Day is back! For the second year in a row, this free event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 1-4pm in Holtby Hall of the Russell J. Rassbach Heritage Museum (1820 John Russell Road, Menomonie).

Collectors from ages 9 to 92 will share their collections of dolls from around the world, fishing lures, guitars, Hot Wheels, railroad memorabilia, vintage lunchboxes, and much more.

The stories behind the collections are often as interesting as the items actually collected, and visitors can talk with the collectors to learn the history of their treasures as well as the ins and outs of collecting.

A new addition this year will be the Badger Wheels Chapter of Studebaker Drivers. The group will show their amazing collection of Studebaker automobiles on the museum grounds.

The event will also feature a silent auction and a raffle of “starter collections," which include a Pokemon Card collection, Lego Minifigures collection, and others. Proceeds will be used to buy a pressed penny machine for the museum featuring five historic Dunn County landmarks. Limited edition Dunn County pressed penny sets from the past will also be available for purchase.

For more info, visit the Collectors Day webpage or call the Rassbach Museum at (715) 232-8685.
