An excitable new baker is working to bring his culinary confections to the Chippewa Valley. Tyler Bischel, a local retailer, has taken his passion for baking to the next level: his own baking business, Ty’s Bakery.

“I've always had a profound love for baking but it wasn’t until I did a cancer benefit for my mom that I ever thought about having a bakery business of my own,” Bischel said.

Since April, Bischel has operated Ty’s Bakery out of his house and hopes to one day expand to a storefront where he can showcase his delicious desserts to foodies and anyone with a sweet tooth. For the time being, delivery, pick-up, and catering orders are available through Bischel’s email, text, and social media pages.

“The ultimate goal is to share the enjoyment I get from baking and people eating what I love to make,” Bischel said. “I want people to bite into my cookies or cupcakes and just taste the love I poured into them.”

Ty’s Bakery includes an assortment of cupcakes and cookies, such as chocolate chip, cherry chip, s’mores, and vanilla bean, perfect for vendor events, parties, and dessert lovers of all ages.

Life has been busy for Ty – in addition to founding his bakery, he has a full-time job and he and his spouse are beginning to provide foster care – so any support from Valley residents wanting to try this baker’s sweets goes a long way toward making his dream come true.
