Several weeks ago, Volume One and Athletic Wellness – Performance & Recovery (you can learn more about them on page 43), joined forces in soliciting nominations for a search of driven, hard-working Chippewa Valley high-school athletes who also strive to be good citizens, too. We weren’t looking for just impressive stat lines, we were also on the hunt for athletes of all skill levels striving to not only elevate themselves but also those around them. As a result, you’ll discover narratives about this diverse bunch featured within Volume One’s brand-new feature section titled Athletic Endeavors. Appearing on pages 38 through 43, you’ll discover athletes representing a multitude of sports ranging from football, softball, and swimming to soccer, cross country, bowling, and martial arts. And, while we’re featuring this year’s group of remarkable teenagers, the dozens of other nominees we received were equally qualified; that made for a very challenging experience in determining who to feature in this year’s inaugural edition. So, to all those nominees who didn’t get chosen, keep swinging for the fences! Just because you’re not featured here does not mean you’re not worthy of heartfelt accolades, too. You’re all remarkable young men and women who continue to amaze and inspire those around you, and beyond. I know I’m truly humbled and impressed, too!
