The Chippewa Valley community is invited to partake in a delicious celebration of African culture on Saturday, Nov. 4, at UW-Eau Claire.

UW-Eau Claire’s African Student Association will host its annual African Dinner Nov. 4 in the Ojibwe Ballroom inside Davies Student Center. According to organizers, the evening will feature 16 different varieties of African cuisine and much more, including music, dancing, performances, games, prizes, and even a fashion show!

Door will open at 5pm and the event will run from 5:30-7:30pm. Tickets are available online for $15 for the general public, $8 for students, and $5 for children 12 and under. (Tickets will also be available at the door, but prices will increase to $20, $10, and $8 respectively.)

The theme for this year’s dinner is “Africa’s Future.” The event was created by the university’s African Student Association, which was founded in 2012 to represent African students on campus and to create culturally relevant events for the public.
