Come One, Come All, Readers of the Valley: Issue 7 of Barstow & Grand is Out
Eau Claire-based literary journal’s annual issue available for those who hunger for prose and poetry
For all literary enthusiasts of the Chippewa Valley and the Upper Midwest, Issue 7 of Barstow & Grand is out and about, ready for readers’ eyes!
Founded by local author Eric Rasmussen and created each year thanks to the efforts of local literary lovers, Barstow & Grand highlights the poets and writers of the Chippewa Valley and the surrounding region.
“I hope people read this and are impressed with the quality of writers we have in the area,” Rasmussen said. “I love the writers in our area and hope the readers develop that appreciation as well.”
Issue 7 has some beloved stories and poems of Midwest nature and culture, along with a few expansive pieces, one set in the La Brea Tar Pits of Los Angeles and another of a fantasy town that falls into the void. With a diverse set of stories and writers, there’s something for everyone in this latest literary collection.
“I think a lot of people appreciate living in an area that supports the arts and artists; this is definitely a way to help that process,” Rasmussen said.
