FORGET ALL YOUR TROUBLES, FORGET ALL YOUR CARES.
HERE’S YOUR METAPHORICAL GREEN LIGHT. Downtown Eau Claire is waiting for you – and your bright idea!

Businesses and organizations in downtown Eau Claire who are dreaming of creative enhancements are invited to apply for the Winter 2024 Downtown Enhancement Grant by Jan. 31.

The grant, which is managed by Downtown Eau Claire Inc., is available to any DECI member business operating in the city’s downtown. Volunteer judges will review applications and select one project to be awarded a $2,000 grant.

According to DECI, “Submissions for this grant cycle should be focused on creatively enhancing your business/organization by serving a new customer that may not be being served in Downtown Eau Claire already or serving them in a unique way. Whether it’s putting on an addition to a retail space, commissioning a new product or service, or further enhancing another area of the business, we want to see owners push the envelope by updating their space or creating a one-of-a-kind experience for customers.”

Applicants are asked to create an enhancement plan that includes a business or organization description, a description of the enhancement project, sources and uses, or project budget, and an implementation plan or schedule. In addition, applicants must complete an application form and submit their enhancement plans with a W-9 form and any additional supporting materials to downtown@eauclairewi.gov.

Previous enhancement grants have gone toward numerous projects, including installing planters at Brent Douglas Flowers, making space upgrades at Latitude 44 Yoga Studio, funding the Sculpture Tour Eau Claire’s Color Block mural project, and supporting Volume One’s e-bike program.
