LIFTING DAY. Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls have announced the suspension of seasonal side parking rules due to consistently warm weather this spring.
LIFTING DAY. Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls have suspended their seasonal side parking rules due to the unseasonably warm weather.

The City of Eau Claire announced today, March 15, that its usual wintertime alternate-side parking restrictions have been officially lifted thanks to “a good long-range forecast” and street sweeping progress.

“Parking will now be permitted on both sides of the street until November 1, 2024, except in those locations where permanent or temporary parking restrictions are posted or marked,” the City of Eau Claire said in a media release.

Parking restrictions have helped with the city’s extensive street sweeping and cleaning, clearing debris from roadsides and gutters before it enters storm drains and into area rivers, and those operations are ahead of schedule due to the unseasonably warm weather.

Chippewa Falls suspended its 2023-24 winter parking regulations three days prior to the City of Eau Claire’s announcement.
