What do you want to eat? It’s a question that routinely plagues households across our fair city; certainly mine. Maybe it’s our inability to plan ahead, or the abundance of options that causes such gastronomical indecision. But never fear; Volume One’s got your back. Or perhaps stomach.

Within these pages, you’ll find Volume One’s annual Eat Scene guide, a catalog of just about everywhere you can eat between Eau Claire, Altoona, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, and a few more. It’s a rigorous index of eateries you can find here, as well as a look at food experiences like food trucks, burger and pizza farms, events, and more. Not to mention we’ve included the area’s hot spots for nightlife fun.

This year, we’ve taken the extra step to make the guide even more user-friendly. You’ll find all of the bars mixed into the alphabetical list of establishments by region, along with a ton of new icons, quick lists, and indexes to help you find what you’re looking for. Vegan-friendly? Outdoor dining? Banquet room? Game leagues? Trivia nights? Delivery? Late-night dining? Birthday specials? We’ve got it all. So take a seat, kick back, whip out your new trusty 2024 Eat Scene guide, and find that place you’ve always been meaning to go, re-discover an old favorite, and find a new haunt for you and your friends.
