Herb brings broadband to rural Wisconsin

Aw, the internet. We are living in the age when three seconds to retrieve information is two seconds too long. Anyone stuck with a slow connection is left in dial-up dust, as people living in rural Wisconsin already know. It looks like now, however, more rural communities will have access to broadband internet. Thanks to Senator Herb Kohl, who is chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee, Wisconsin is receiving over $16 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), money that will bring much-needed broadband services to rural areas.
