Foodies got to enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of Volume One’s First Taste Culinary Crawl when it returned last week after a three-year hiatus. On Thursday, Sept. 14 outside the River Prairie Center in Altoona, foodies from all over the area came together to celebrate the start of Chippewa Valley Restaurant Week (Sept. 15-24). Tickets for the event raised money for Stepping Stones of Dunn County.

Attendees enjoyed absolutely perfect weather and music while sampling plates from local restaurants including 620 West @ CVTC, Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse, Tokyo Japanese Restaurant, Live Great Food, Olson’s Ice Cream, Mancino’s Grinders & Pizza, Toppers, Valley Burger Co., and Xavier Artisan Bistro, as well as a cash bar with excellent beer and wines.
