At Beaver Creek Reserve (S1 County Hwy. K, Fall Creek), little ones can learn all about plant and animal life in the Wise Nature Center. Then, take a hike around one of their lovely trails as you take in the beauty. When you’re in the mood for a zoo but don’t want the long drive, head to Irvine Park Zoo (Chippewa Falls). They have a variety of animals to observe, plus a plethora of trails, playgrounds, and lots of picnic tables. When you’re looking for somewhere indoors to take the kids, head over to the recently built Children’s Museum of Eau Claire. All of the exhibits offer hands-on excitement and brain-building fun.
